RCR Wireless News is reporting that Verizon just signed another exclusive deal with YouTube.
This time around, the new agreement lets subscribers record video with their phones and upload the clips directly to the site for free via a short code, according to the article. “Verizon Wireless users who have updated their YouTube accounts with their mobile numbers can upload and post videos by sending the clips to 98823, or YTUBE.”
This fits in with some other trends we’ve been seeing, such as digital cameras that have “YouTube Capture” modes for recording video in the right format, and included software that simplifies the transfer and upload process to the popular video site.
