Starbucks features AT&T WiFi (with T-Mobile for another few years if you can find it), Seattle’s Best (owned by Starbucks and sometimes found in Borders bookstores) features T-Mobile hotspot service (or it did the last time I visited one). I don’t know if T-Mobile will not be tossed out of Borders bookstores with an embedded Seattle’s Best, but it looks like Verizon will be providing WiFi there soon according to this press release…
Borders Signs Agreement with Verizon to Offer Free Wi-Fi
The free (I like that word) WiFi service will be available in more than 500 Borders stoes nationwide with service expected to start by mid-October (2 weeks from now?). There will be some kind of login process involved. Let’s hope it is not too onerous.
