VZ blackberry banking.jpgVerizon Wireless customers with select BlackBerry flavors can now use the device to track recent banking transactions. The carrier’s Mobile Banking Application, available for the BlackBerry Curve 8330, Pearl 8130 and 8830 World Edition, lets consumers check their account balance and transaction history; transfer funds between accounts at the same bank; view and pay bills and look up the last five transactions completed on the device.

Banks that currently offer the Verizon Wireless Mobile Banking app include Wachovia, Regions, SunTrust, USAA, Synovus, America First Credit Union (AFCU), Arvest, Bancorp South, FirstBank, South Financial and BECU. Customers need to sign up for the service on the bank’s Web site and receive an eight-digit secure code that will allow them to access the app on their phone.

Verizon’s Mobile Banking app is also available for a number of Get It Now-capable handsets including the LG Voyager, Venus and VX9400; the Moto RAZR maxx Ve and Moto RAZR2 V9m; and the Samsung FlipShot, Wireless Juke and Alias.
