MediaPost reports that mobile technology developer Verve Wireless, which offers a mobile publishing platform for local and regional sites, has closed a second-round financing of $3 million from investors including The Associated Press and Iron Capital:
“With its latest round, Verve plans to expand its ad sales force to handle national brand campaigns as well as hiring additional technology staff.”
The report said that in addition to the AP, Verve Wireless’s client roster includes McClatchy Interactive, Freedom Communications, The New York Times, and Journal Communications.
