MocoNews blogger James Quintana Pearce writes that according to a report from Infonetics, revenue from sales of mobile video phones will double from 2006 to 2010.
Infonetics also predicts that the “number of mobile video subscribers will jump from a few million in 2006 to 58.6 million in 2010-back in May it was predicting 46 million by 2010, so it’s a bit more optimistic about the industry,” he said.
This jives with an Opus Research report from last week that mobile ad revenue is expected to jump from just $106 million in 2007 to an astounding $5 billion in 2012. Still not as much the $75 billion+ spent on traditional television, but a huge chunk of change nonetheless.
