Beet.TV talked with the CEO of EveryZing, a Boston-based video search company, which has raised $8.25 million from GE. It’s part of an agreement to provide search solutions to several NBC Universal online properties.
EveryZing is a spin-off of Boston area defense contractor BBN. They have developed a powerful speech-to-text transcription process that was originally created to transcribe intercepted phone conversations. The company is applying its technology to “listen” to the audio track of video to create rich, searchable metadata.
EveryZing has also struck deals with Thompson Reuters, Fox Sports and MSN.
