You may wonder why, given that practically every cell phone on the planet can play video and now has a built-in camera, that virtually no one is making video calls. The long and short of it is that most people aren’t particularly interested in doing this. Who wants to display what they’re wearing, or that they’re actually playing Tetris while on the phone? Besides, anyone who wants to make a video call usually uses their PC and a Web cam to do it for free, rather than paying extra for a video conferencing service.
Still, that’s not stopping BT (the tech company, not the electronic music composer) from trying again in Europe.
