Berlin-based Metaversum, parent of Berlin-centric virtual-reality world Twinity, secured a €4.5 million venture round from existing backers Grazia Equity and Balderton, as well as newcomers BFB BeteiligungsFonds Brandenburg from InvestitionsBank des Landes Brandenburg, which is managed by BC Brandenburg Capital and KfW, paidContent:UK reported.

Twinity launched in beta in September focused on Berlin, and virtual versions of London and Singapore are on the way.
