Watch: Relive The Curiosity Rover Mars Landing On YouTube

Over 25,000 people watched the NASA live stream last night to see if Curiosity Rover would land successfully following what was being referred to as the “Seven Minutes of Terror,” the seven-minute time period it took Curiosity rover to enter Mars’ atmosphere and land.

This morning NASA released a video called ‘Curiosity has Landed.’  The video cuts together footage from the NASA control room with animated footage of what presumably was going on out in space.  Pretty exciting stuff!

And finally, if you watched the live stream last night then you couldn’t have missed Mohawk Guy, aka Bobak Ferdowsi.  Ferdowsi became an internet sensation thanks to his awesome, colorful, space-themed Mohawk.  Once Ferdowsi’s Twitter account was discovered, his follower count quickly skyrocketed, currently clocking in at over 22,000!  Shira Lazar of What’s Trending interviewed Ferdowsi this morning.
