MTV announced that its MTV Music Group sites drew more than 53 million unique visitors in August, according to comScore Media Metrix, making it the most-visited online music destination.
The Viacom unit added that the MTV Music Group sites posted year-over-year Web-traffic growth of 165 percent, citing “strong organic growth, strategic partnerships, and the success of several successful social-media initiatives.”
