According to the survey, 28 percent of brides-to-be alert their social networks by updating their statuses immediately. Twenty-four percent said they updated their statuses the next day. However, even before becoming affianced, 70 percent of those surveyed said they were using Pinterest to plan their weddings. Eighty-nine percent make use of various wedding apps to look for dresses, stay organized and manage their time.
Beyond the digital tools available for wedding planning, 55 percent of those surveyed used a wedding hashtag and 20 percent included a hashtag on the wedding program.
It seems that photos are still a sticking point, with more than 30 percent of couples asking guests not to post photos to social media. On the other hand, 60 percent of couples consider photo-sharing app options for guests, and nearly 70 percent want photos from the wedding events loaded to social media in real time.
