Palm webOS 1.1 enhances support for enterprise — and beyond
So, here’s what’s new in webOS 1.1 according to this Palm knowledge based item…
- NFL Mobile Live from Sprint
- Default reminder interval is 15 minutes if you get 1.1 on a new phone. Otherwise, it does not change
- Photo app starts up faster
- Better clock timezone support
= Alarm appearance changes
- Facebook friends adds/deletes reflected correctly in Contacts Facebook account
- Exchange ActiveSync supports IP address for server name
- Support for self-signed certificates with multiple common names has been added.
= Exchange ActiveSync policies support for requiring passwords, locking the phone after a period inactivity and remote wipe
- Emoticon support in various messaging types
- Message times can be shown in 24 hour time format
- Missed call notification enhanced
- Syncs with iTunes 8.2.1
- Symbols from symbols table supported in browser
- New browser gesture (short swipe left to right in the gesture area) same as Forward button
- Wikipedia mobile pages displayed instead of conventional desktop format view
