What’s Your Favorite App, Lyle Underkoffler?

AppNewser asked, What’s Favorite App, Lyle Underkoffler?

The VP of digital media at Disney Publishing Worldwide chose  Kindoma Storytime, a free app that combines books and video chats so that families spread around the globe can connect for nighttime reading. “I am fascinated with the app because it essentially allows children and parents or other loved ones to read together no matter where they are in the world,” explains Underkoffler.

Underkoffler first discovered the app when he was away from his family at the Bologna Book Fair in Italy. “It is an extremely innovative experience that I believe fills a need for families with children of all ages,” he said. “I still have the app installed on my iPad and the next time I’m away from my kids for an extended period of time, you can bet that we will still have bedtime stories through ‘Kindoma Storytime.’ Next up is getting my parents to share the story time ritual with their grandkids.”

Underkoffler is currently working on a number of new apps across the books, entertainment, and education categories. He explained a couple of them to us, “We just launched Disney Storytime, which is a container app that houses the largest collection of Disney stories in one app; and Disney Princess: Story Theater, a new app that introduces young learners to early literacy skills and allows them to build and record their own stories.”
