uLocate has expanded its partnership with Sprint. Under the broader relationship, uLocate’s WHERE location-based app will now power a location-enabled WAP service on Sprint phones. By providing access to network-based location throughout its network, Sprint gives its subscribers access to local search results, even on non-GPS phones, without users needing to report their location.
Also, because it’s a WAP service, users on the Sprint network can now access WHERE on their phone’s browser instead of having to download an application.
