Center Networks are reporting that folks from Vimeo has decided to no longer allow video game videos on their site. It means that gamers will not be able to publish game walk-throughs, game strategy videos, depictions of player vs player battles, raids, fraps, or any other video gaming videos.

I actually can understand why they are doing this and, how you can read at their blog, reasons are two:

1. The main idea of Vimeo is “creative expression” and gaming videos just don’t stick to it;

2. Gaming videos are significantly larger than videos where you can see some form of “creative expression” (which makes me feel a bit sad);

So, basically if you are true gamer you need to search for alternative ways to share your gaming videos. I agree that Vimeo maybe isn’t the right place for such content and participating in other communities that are more gaming related can bring you much more fun.

Speaking about gaming communities there are one exelent site – GameVee.com! It is gamers community where you can share your gaming videos and communicate with peopple that have the same desire. I belive that GameVee isn’t only site for a gamers – If you can suggest some other alternatives your comments are always appreciated.
