The first generation of white MacBooks (2006) had a problem with it the wrist-wrest area around the trackpad area. It became discolored (generally a brownish color) after some weeks or months of use. My guess is that it was caused by some interaction between the heat generated in that area and the hand/palm/wrist “oils” that came into contact with it. …However, I could not find any discussions about this problem after a quick search and then some manual (reading) topic scanning. So, this may be an extremely rare case. Or, it may be an early case and we’ll see more reports pop up in the near future.
