wigix_logo.jpgWhether Wigix is intentionally planning to kill eBay or not, it might actually pull one off against eBay should it becomes a hit among online buyers and sellers. But to do that Wigix has to prove itself worthy of becoming the anti-eBay. Let’s us take a look into the features Wigix first to find out if it could beat, if not totally bring down eBay.

Wigix purports itself a a new way to buy and sell online but certainly not your usual buy and sell online store. It wants to create an image of being a socially-driven, open-to-communication market place where users can communicate and interact with each other.

Realizing that it is facing tough competition from online commerce leader eBay, Wigix tries to set itself apart by offering the following services and priveleges:

  • items below $25, we charge nothing!
  • no listing fees and hidden fees

As a social shopping site, Wigix lets you do the following:

  • build you item price list
  • create wish list and dream list
  • create gift registry
  • use Wigix various social apps

In addition to these, Wigix also lets you share your profiles with your Facebook contacts It also has a nifty toolbar which you can append to your browser.

Overall design wise, Wigix can give eBay a run for its money, could it really?
