Wildfire, one of the leading Facebook marketing platforms, announced today that the company received $4 million in funding led by Summit Partners and a number of well known angel investors including Jeff Clavier, Aydin Senkut, and Gary Vaynerchuk. We’ve covered the Wildfire extensively on a number of occasions as the company provides one of the most robust Facebook Page customization solutions available.
This is one of the first (if not the first) fbFund company to raise a follow-on multi-million dollar round of funding. It’s not surprising to see Wildfire as the recipient of this fund given the company’s strong position in the social media marketing space. The company recently launched a Facebook-safe sweepstakes tool to enable marketers to create promotions without having to deal with the technicalities of Facebook’s relatively strict promotion terms.
