Windows Mobile 6 & 6.1 Smartphone Users Have a Weekend Project: Apply HTC Hotfix to Patch Bluetooth Security Hole

Ugh… I’m glad that HTC has a fix for this problem…

But, I’m not thrilled that my weekend project will be to grab my Windows 6.0 HTC smartphones and apply the fix. By the way, if you have a phone running the current generation Windows Mobile 6.1 release, you also have a project this weekend.

Finding this patch to execute the weekend project may be a bit of challenge though. I was unable to login to my HTC e-Club account to search for the patch. And, then, the entire HTC apparently crashed a few moments later. This is the error message I saw when trying to get to htc.com…
