Windows Phone & Feature Phone Users Can Now Join the Google+ Circle Without an App (screenshot tour)

Windows Phone: Google+ stream

The Google+ for Windows Phone app is not available yet. However, Google added a new Basic Mobile view to Google+ that lets it work with Windows Phone’s Internet Explorer 6 based mobile web browser. Previously, Google+ (plus.google.com) complained that it no longer supported the browser by Windows Phone and suggested using a modern desktop browser.

Google+’s Basic Mobile view is not exactly pretty. But, it is functional and gets Windows Phone users into the Circle. As you might guess, several feature are not available in this basic mode. Photo upload, locating nearby streams and Huddle (group messaging) are all among the missing.

The Basic Mobile view goes beyond enabling Windows Phone users to access Google+. It should also allow other phones with basic web browsers to use Google+ too.
