Would You Use Your Mobile Phone to Pay for Groceries? [Podcast]

On today’s Morning Media Menu (MP3 link), I joined GalleyCat editor Jason Boog for a recap of the MIT Sloan Hi-Tech conference in Cambridge, MA.

Smartphones are going to change the way we buy things in the real world. Instead of swiping our credit cards, soon we’ll be able to pay by tapping our phones at the check-out stand. Boog and I debated whether virtual payment systems like Google Wallet would make the process less safe.

What we agreed is definitely not safe is novelist R. L. Stine’s new Twitter horror story, which Boog has thoughtfully compiled into one post with Storify.
