Editor & Publisher has the April numbers from Nielsen Online Media. WSJ.com saw record traffic last month — 12.4 million unique visitors, up 160% from last year. Meanwhile, traffic to the The New York Times’ Web site was down by 8% compared to last year. A Times spokeswoman told E&P they are looking into the numbers because they “believe their data is in error.” Despite the dip, the NYTimes.com remains number one among online newspapers.

Back to the WSJ.com, Beet.TV got its hands on an internal memo from deputy managing editor Alan Murray about the good April news. And below is an interview with Murrary about the recent redesign:
