[iPhone] Yahoo for iPhone on 12seconds.tv

I have not had a lot of kind things to say about Yahoo!’s various iPhone apps… until now… Yahoo! 1.0 seemed slow and clunky to me. And, I mentioned more than once that I was planning to stick with Yahoo!’s great mobile browser friendly web site. However, after taking a look at the updated…

Yahoo! 1.1 (iTunes App Store)

…for the past few days and discovering that it includes a beta release component that lets me access my Delicious.com bookmarks, I’m making a 180 degree opinion turn and giving Yahoo! 1.1 for iPhone a mobile thumbs up. I still think it could benefit from more performance tweaking. But, its speed looks a lot better to me than it did earlier, available content looks good and, as I already mentioned, access to Delicious bookmarks is a big win for me.

Voice search was the “big thing” mentioned in Yahoo!’s feature list. But, speed, content and Delicious bookmarks made it valuable and relevant to me.
