The going-global trend this week continues with Yahoo, which just released Yahoo Go 2.0 in 13 countries, along with a more comprehensive roll-out in the U.S., according to MediaPost.
As the article states, Yahoo Go 2.0 gives users access to e-mail, maps, and the company’s mobile oneSearch engine, with additional video features planned for the future. Pepsi and Hilton Embassy Suites have already signed on as advertising partners for the new service.
“At the moment, video is very bandwidth-intensive, and we wanted to make Yahoo Go 2.0 accessible to the widest number of users by keeping it as lightweight as possible,” Yahoo spokesperson Nicole Leverich said in the article.
