Social media has become a cornerstone of effective marketing strategy. Within five years, social media is expected to comprise, on average, 22% of overall marketing budgets. This year Youtube reached more 18-34 year olds than any cable network, vine sharing dropped on Twitter by almost 40% the day Instagram video launched, and “selfie” was dubbed word of the year.
