farmvilletomatologoNext time you’re walking around Target, take a look at the produce section and look closely at the labels, because Green Giant vegetables are now advertising free 15 FarmVille cash for buying Green Giant vegetables, and it’s clearly labeled on the produce itself. This is one of the biggest real world promotions we’ve seen, and from a major brand as well. Zynga is starting to pick up steam with their partnerships and it’s only bound to continue. Credit goes to Farmville Freak for breaking the news.

The news was reported by Games.com courtesy of FarmVille Freak, and the Games.com guys actually went down to Target to find the product. They’ve got some great images of the produce itself, and the labelling. I must say it was pretty jarring to see Farmville on a friggin’ tomato! We’ve also got an image below courtesy of Zynga of what it’s like when you hit the Green Giant web page to connect to Facebook and get your points back. It looks like they collect your email address as well. Sly move, Green Giant!

Anyway, please go check out the news, and look for some Farmville lettuce next time you’re out. And let us know if it tastes any better than regular lettuce.
