For those who believe that the word “gullible” isn’t in the dictionary, Stun Creative brings you Stun Fone, a product that turns iPhones into stun guns. And if you believe that Stun Fone actually exists, I have a great deal for you on a bridge near WebNewser headquarters.

Stun Creative admitted to being the brains behind the viral campaign for the fictional Stun Fone, using a YouTube video and Twitter to promote the nonexistent product and drawing attention from media outlets including CBS News, The Wall Street Journal, Creativity, and the Los Angeles Times, as well as news organizations in Germany, Russia, Japan, Israel, and Korea.

In the video (below), an actor posing as MIT graduate Jeff Esteghlalian says he invented a “really cool accessory for the iPhone, which turns your iPhone into a stun gun with a voltage of 90,000 volts — just enough to shock someone without really hurting them.” Esteghlalian, who doesn’t exist, either, then demonstrates Stun Fone on a friend and a black-belt karate master, and then a woman zaps her boyfriend after catching him cheating.

The Stun Fone stunt wrapped up with a live press conference Friday in which Esteghlalian called out Apple chairman and CEO Steve Jobs.

When it isn’t making up iPhone accessories and promoting them, Stun Creative does serious work, including production of the launch campaign for Conan on TBS, Conan O’Brien‘s new late-night talk show.

Stun Creative co-founder Brad Roth said:

We implemented this campaign solely to illustrate the power of a great idea. In today’s universe, you don’t have to be heavily funded to present a new idea through social media; you just need to be highly inventive. In less than one week, we’ve actually received more than 20,000 requests for orders for the Stun Fone product from every corner of the globe.

And co-founder Mark Feldstein added:

It all started from a single YouTube posting. In creating the video, we deliberately combined two elements guaranteed to get attention online — a comedic Jackass-style prank and the promise of a wildly new iPhone technology. We’re always being asked to develop and craft marketing campaigns on behalf of our clients … so we thought this time it would be fun if we did one for ourselves.
