Today YouTube has announced that they are replacing their old analytics system YouTube Insight with a new and improved tool. YouTube Analytics will be rolled out to all users on a modern browser throughout the day and features more detailed reports and statistics to help content creators discover how viewers are connecting and engaging with their videos like never before.
Ted Hamilton, Product Manager at YouTube, writes on the YouTube blog, “You’ve been able to discover who is watching your videos and where they’re coming from for awhile now on YouTube, through Insight. Now we want to make it even easier to learn about your audience, so we’ve replaced Insight with YouTube Analytics.”
YouTube content creators can view their personalized analytics pages while logged into the site by going to YouTube.com/Analytics. The latest features are as follows:
Quick Overview: A basic overview of performance, engagement, demographics and discovery, along with a list of your top 10 videos over a specified range of dates and locations.
More Detail: Analytics include much more detailed statistics than Insight did, giving you a better understanding of how audiences are watching and interacting with your content.
Audience Builders: See which of your videos are driving the most subscriptions and views.
Audience Retention: Find out how far viewers are watching your videos before clicking away.
