Last summer YouTube released their Creator Playbook—an awesome manual for video creators about everything you need to know to maximize your YouTube success.  The original YouTube Creator Playbook was chock full of great tips on everything from programming and producing to publishing and optimization, community, social media and more.  Today they’ve released an updated version—the YouTube Creator Playbook version 2.  Read on to find out more and check out the playbook.

Version two of the playbook is updated to mesh with all of the recent design changes to the site and also includes a few new sections. So what’s new in version two? Ryan Nugent, audience development strategist at YouTube, writes, “As we work on the site, we want to make sure you’re the first to know every tip and trick to succeed on YouTube…In addition to these updates [below], almost every page includes your feedback (thank you!).”

Things to look for in the new version include a new channel and homepage section that is updated for the new design and explains how to make the most of the new feed on the YouTube homepage.  They’ve also included a section to help creators reach a global audience, as well as updates to annotation, playlists and publishing.  They’ve also included a brand new glossary to help newbies familiarize themselves with YouTube’s features, strategies, lingo and more.
