YouTube iOS App Now Supports Live Streaming

YouTube’s iOS app got an update yesterday that brings live streaming to the social video app. As Mashable points out, the timing seems a bit late, as “the update comes right after Coachella, which was streamed to YouTube this weekend.”

Among other things, the 1.3 update also brings what YouTube calls “quick access” to new uploads from subscriptions through a new “My Subscriptions” feed on the app’s guide page. The company also added this feature in an Android update earlier this month but the Android app has yet to get live streaming.

The update also includes a new feature that lets users queue up videos to play on TV, one channel branding for video creators, as well as some performance and stability updates.
