Well, that was fast. Not even a week after YouTube co-founder Steve Chen’s quasi-announcement that YouTube is coming to mobile, it’s already here.
To try it out, head to m.youtube.com from your cellphone’s Web browser. You’ll need a relatively high-powered phone, and to re-iterate YouTube’s own warning (which you’ll see the moment you key in that URL), you need an unlimited data plan. Otherwise, be prepared to be hit with hundreds of dollars in data fees this month.
Reports are already coming in about how it doesn’t work on lots of phones. But you’ve got nothing to lose, so why not give it a shot?
