YouTube MobileLast month YouTube launched an updated mobile site in the United States that was faster, more social and more Smartphone friendly. Today the new mobile site is available internationally, so mobile video viewers around the world can get in on the faster, better mobile YouTube experience. YouTube decided to upgrade their mobile site when they hit the 100 million daily mobile video views mark and now it’s available worldwide.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, YouTube upgraded their mobile site in response to users that were having trouble accessing the video site from slow Wi-Fi and 3G connections. YouTube’s mobile product manager, Andrey Duronichev said, “We tried to make it so snappy and so fast”, but at the same time they wanted to make sure it would work across all mobile browsing platforms. He added that, “The most important thing about this new product is consistency. We tried really hard to make it consistent with what you’re getting on the desktop.”

International YouTubers that are experiencing the mobile site for the first time can expect a much faster viewing experience, a new interface with larger elements that are more touch-friendly for the iPhone and iPad, and the new site incorporates more features from the online site, including the ability to like, dislike and favorite videos. You can check out the new YouTube mobile site in the video below. Have you tried it out yet? What do you think?
