10 Powerful YouTube Videos About Gay Marriage

Following the recent news from the White House that the Obama administration would no longer defend the Defense Of Marriage Act has people everywhere wondering about the implications. Does this mean the legalization of same sex marriage is on the horizon? Not necessarily. But a lot of people think that this could be a good start. While this news is on the tip of everyone’s tongues we thought we’d chime in with a list of 10 powerful videos on the subject of gay marriage.

Before we get to our list, here’s the AP video of the White House announcement that the Obama administration will no longer be playing a hand in defending the Defense Of Marriage Act. The act has been determined as unconstitutional. However, it is made clear that a halt to defense of the act doesn’t equal governmental “support” of gay marriage and as far as how Obama feels personally about the issue, he is still “grappling” with it.

Valentine Marriage

This video was uploaded to YouTube on Valentine’s Day by a Mormon woman who supports gay marriage. She writes in the video description, “I put this video on MormonsforMarriage.com during the Prop 8 debate. At the time, speaking out via this video threatened my temple recommend and calling, and I chose to take it down to protect my standing in the church. I regret that decision and put it back up as a tribute to the legend of Valentine.”

This woman is putting herself and her family on the line by making this video public, and I think that makes her message all the more powerful.
