Hi ThinkMobile readers - all the great mobile apps, devices and reviews are now a part of mediabistro's SocialTimes.com. Thanks for reading!

zumobi blackberry.jpgRecognizing that the BlackBerry has become much more than a business tool, mobile widget company Zumobi has launched a version of its application for BlackBerry users who want to get more out of their device.

Zumobi, which first talked up the BlackBerry product in April, already has a version for Windows Mobile devices. The application gives users access to small bites of customized Web content through its widgets, or Tiles, as the company calls them.

Now, BlackBerry users can choose from among a wide variety of free, ad-supported news, sports, weather, entertainment, games and social media tiles such as NPR, MLB, Facebook, Twitter and many others. Zumobi also has a new Tile Creation Wizard that lets users create their own tiles that they can populate with just about any Web content.

“By adding BlackBerry as our second major mobile platform, Zumobi significantly expands our reach for brand and content partners,” Zumobi VP of market development Ken Willner said about the launch. “We’re thrilled to introduce Zumobi to BlackBerry’s data-savvy users, and look forward to providing them with a highly engaging mobile experience.”
